With a passion to serve others, Blake attended Auburn University to pursue a career in medicine. During his pre-med and pre-pharmacy studies, Blake received a persuading phone call from a friend about opening a restaurant. With a heart to help, Blake relocated to Tuscaloosa to support the opening of a steakhouse, which led to the opening of a Latin-inspired restaurant and bar over a span of seven years. Blake joined the Chef Jim Shirley family at the Great Southern Café as restaurant manager, assumed the role of assistant general manager, and then joined The Bay as assistant general manager.
When you can’t find Blake at the restaurant, you will know he’s enjoying the outdoors, playing and watching sports, or on a trip back home to visit family.
